Free community healthcare and wellness.

Medical Mission at Home is Ascension’s flagship community outreach program, bringing free, quality healthcare directly into communities. Since 2008, these events have expanded access to essential services for individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or face barriers to traditional care.

In 2026 across 17 events in 11 states, we provided:

  • 19,105 total services and resources.
  • 4,281 guests with care.

  What to expect

     Medical Mission at Home events provide a full day of free health and wellness services — no insurance, appointments, or payment required.

Services may include:

  • Clinical care (medical, dental, vision, behavioral health)
  • No-cost prescription dispensing via Ascension Rx and Dispensary of Hope
  • Health screenings and immunizations
  • Spiritual, financial, and food guidance
  • Personal care services and essential supplies

Connecting people to ongoing care

Medical Mission at Home is designed to be more than a one-day event. Associates and community partners help participants connect with follow-up appointments, local resources, and other services that can support their health after the event.

Associate-led, Mission-driven 

Each event is made possible by hundreds of Ascension physicians, nurses, pharmacists, chaplains, associates, and community partners who volunteer their time and skills.

Together, they help meet people where they are, remove barriers to care, and strengthen the health of the communities we serve.
