Through Ascension Rx, patients can access pharmacy services, medication support, and programs that help make prescriptions more affordable. Our teams work with patients and care providers to navigate challenges such as cost, insurance coverage, and transportation.

How we help

Medication Assistance

Our Medication Assistance team helps patients find financial support and other resources to lower prescription costs. Support may include manufacturer assistance, copay assistance, vouchers, drug discount cards, prior authorization support, and benefit investigations.

In fiscal year 2026, Ascension Rx secured $219.07 million in financial assistance, supporting more than 13,181 patients.

Dispensary of Hope

Dispensary of Hope is a national medication access program that distributes donated medications through a nationwide network of partner sites (nonprofit clinics and pharmacies), helping uninsured and low-income patients access medications at no cost.

The program supports more than 340 partner sites nationwide, including 35 Ascension Rx pharmacies across nine states, dispensing over 3,800 needed prescriptions each day at no cost to patients. In fiscal year 2026, 51,552 total prescriptions were dispensed through Ascension Rx Dispensary of Hope sites. Upholding rigorous standards of safety and compliance, Dispensary of Hope reflects Ascension’s Mission by extending access to medications both within and beyond Ascension’s geographic footprint.
